Anthem Pull-Out Study

Page history last edited by Jenny Rosene 10 mos ago

Ayn Rand, the author of Anthem, continues to be a controversial philosopher. The philosophy she conceived of, called objectivism, comes into all of her novels. Anthem, in particular, highlights objectivist ideals by showing a dystopian society created on the opposite principal: collectivism.

Did that make any sense at all? Maybe not until we get a general idea of the two ideas: collectivism and objectivism.

Isn't Ayn Rand a laugh a minute? Okay, so she's as serious as a heart attack and as hard as nails, but she gives us things to think about, to talk about, and most importantly ... to argue about.
